The Standard Range
Seven cabinets we have made, published with their sizes and their prices. Each one is a starting point rather than a stock item — yours will be drawn around your own gun list — but they will tell you the shape and the money before you ring.
Why publish a range at all
Everything we make is bespoke, and that has always made prices awkward to talk about. People ring not knowing whether a cabinet is two thousand pounds or twenty, and nobody enjoys that conversation.
So these are the seven designs we build most often, each offered across a ladder of widths, with the price in six timbers. Nothing here is held in stock and nothing is made until you have approved a drawing. But you can see where you stand from your own desk.
How the sizes work
One bay is one door. A bay holds four shotguns at ninety-millimetre centres, or three with scopes left mounted. Every design runs across a range of bay counts, so the same cabinet will sit in an alcove or run the length of a wall, and the cornice, stiles and plinth are the same at either end.
Every cabinet is two-tier: a glazed or panelled upper section over a solid base cupboard with its own separate lock.
The seven designs
The Deben
The cabinet the range is drawn from, and the one most people start with. A glazed upper section over a solid base cupboard with its own lock, a hand-carved dentil cornice, fluted stiles and quarter-sawn oak throughout.

The Deben Solid
The same cabinet with solid raised-panel doors in place of the glazing. From the room it reads as a linen press or a hall cupboard, and nothing announces what is inside.

The Alde
Gun bays with a fitted bay alongside for coats, cartridge bags, binoculars and boots. The kit bay is glazed to match and hangs from a rail rather than a rack.

The Lark
Concealed behind ordinary panelling or a bookcase front. No glazing, no visible lock and no handle. From the room there is nothing to see at all.

The Blyth
A glazed gun cabinet set between open bookcases and drawn as one continuous run, with a shared cornice, plinth and fluted pilasters. The guns sit in the library rather than beside it.

The Brett
A low chest for cased guns lying flat, in fitted baize-lined compartments under a hinged lid. It sits under a window or at the foot of a bed and reads as furniture entirely.

The Orwell
A Wellington chest of graduated drawers for cartridges, with a locking stile down one side. Made to the same cornice and plinth as the cabinets so it reads as part of the family.

Prices, VAT and what is included
All prices include VAT at 20%, are held for 90 days from a written quotation, and include delivery and fitting by our own team anywhere in mainland Great Britain.
Lead time is twelve weeks in the workshop from approved drawings, extending to sixteen when we are busy, and confirmed to you when the order is placed. Nothing is made until you have signed off a drawing.
Fitted gun rooms are not in this range. A steel-lined room with a firearms door, cladding and all the joinery within it starts at £24,000 including VAT and is quoted against the room.

The seven cabinets in this range can be ordered online, or commissioned to your own dimensions. Timber and colour samples are £10 each, posted free.
